Rotary Helps New MS Therapy Centre

After a number of years, the MS Therapy Centre has raised £1.3M to build a brand new replacement building for the existing 1984 building which has passed its sell-by date, and which will be used by MS patients in Kent. Oxygen therapy, counselling and other supplementary therapies are given, together with providing a social meeting area and a place to give general advice on how. to manage the disease.

The picture is of the first sod being turned, by digger rather than the traditional spade, by Frank Brake, one of the principal donors. The new centre will open in the Autumn.

Canterbury Rotary Club has donated on several occasions and sponsored the Director, Tony Meire, on sponsored cycle rides.

I was privileged to be asked to attend the ceremony on behalf of the Club.
