Millennium Fund
To mark the millennium, the Club set up a charitable grant aid fund for young adults aged between 18 and 25.
The idea is to assist young people who wish to give service to an overseas community in need of help, either in a gap year or after further education. We expect the individual to be offering themselves through a nationally registered charity and to live in the Canterbury area.
To date, we have helped 32 young people with a total of £15,650 between them. In 2009, we expect to award a total of £2,600, which may be allocated to one applicant, or may be divided between a numbers of deserving candidates.
