ASDA Green Token Giving programme

Our club is delighted to have received a cheque for Rotary from ASDA for £200 via ASDA Foundation as part of their Green Token Giving programme. The money will go to our Community Services Committee who will use it for local causes and/or charities.

The Green Token Giving scheme allows ASDA to support the local community. It involves customers collecting a green token from the checkout when they go shopping and then placing their token in the slot for their preferred cause - this time via a 'helter-skelter'-like display. ASDA then counts the votes and gives each organisation its prize.

We are very grateful to ASDA and its staff and to members of the public that voted for us. We will put the money to good use in the local community. Thanks also to Rtn Deborah Connolly for making the arrangements.
