Duck Race 2019 - counting out

A dozen or so Rotary members spent yesterday morning ducking and diving to count and verify all the competitors ahead of the Duck Race on Sunday.

Fortified by a diet of tea and doughnuts, the Rotarians worked at a quacking pace to work their way through more than three thousand plastic ducks in a bid to ensure all the numbers tallied with the sales sheets against which the sponsors’ details are recorded.

All the ducks are now, checked, safely bagged-up and resting before the start off at 1.00pm on Sunday. It promises to be a quacking good time…
