Success of silent mini auction fundraiser

We're delighted to say that we raised £555 from our mini auction held recently among Rotarians, their family and friends; the money will go to our charity account, from which we support a variety of local and international causes.

The "silent" mini auction, run with the help of President Stephen Thompson's wife, Sue, was run entirely online with bids coming in via email.

We're grateful to all of the following for donating special "items" for the auction:

  • Centreplate UK Ltd (Cricket tickets)
  • Peter Francesconi, Dean Farm (Farm tour)
  • Richard & Cora Kemball-Cook (Beach hut/1:1 Yoga)

Stephen & Sue also put up a prize of a guided 5.5 mile walk east of Stelling Minnis through Elham Park Woods. One Rotarian has offered an extra £30 if Stephen & Sue wear silly hats - we'll try and make sure they take a picture so that we can share it with you and have a giggle!
