Donation to Shelterbox

More than ever, this pandemic has helped us all to appreciate our own homes. So we were very pleased to be able to support disaster relief charity ShelterBox; today we received a letter of thanks for our donation.

Many Rotary Clubs around the work support ShelterBox - and Rotary International is a project partner with the charity, which provides emergency shelter to families who have lost their home as a result of a natural disaster or conflict.

Although we haven't been able to "shake cans" lately to raise funds, a number of Members wished for their excess dining funds to support the charity, and a cheque for £336 was duly sent.

We were very pleased to receive the letter of thanks, which also outlines some of ShelterBox's recent work around the world. Despite the pandemic, sadly, conflict and natural disasters continue to happen and families continue to need ShelterBox's support.
