Millennium Scholarship Trust Fund

The Millennium Scholarship Trust Fund was set up by The Rotary Club of Canterbury to mark the Millennium.  The purpose of the Fund is to advance the education of young people who live, work or study in Canterbury and to instil principles of good citizenship by providing financial assistance to those who wish to give service to a local or overseas community through a scheme or project run by a nationally recognised charity.

Since it was established this charity has been very successful in assisting many young people from the Canterbury district who have ventured abroad on expeditions with established organisations. There are so many benefits from the experiences and adventures gained from undertaking such challenges including the enhancement of educational courses for those studying environment related topics.

The Trustees are now looking at providing grants from 2022 onwards when hopefully the World will be a safer place to travel.
If you are interested and wish to apply for a grant towards the costs of undertaking charity work abroad with a recognise charity, please contact us or complete the Word Doc. or PDF and send it to: millschol@rotarycanterbury.org.uk
