The Vesturer of Canterbury Cathedral, Chris Crooks, took us on an illuminating journey through the history of cathedrals and their virgers earlier today when he gave a presentation to members of our club.
Chris outlined the many and varied responsibilities that virgers carry out in the course of their duties. It was very interesting to get a behind-the-scenes peek from Chris into all manner of things - from setting out chairs to greeting VIP visitors.
