i was a great pleasure to welcome David to our Club. Below he tells us a little about himself.
Born in Barnet Hertfordshire, and educated at Exeter University. I obtained a BSc In Applied Mathematics & Physics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
In 1975 I joined the Data Processing Unit of The Post Office Telecommunications Department (British Telecom) and worked in computer operations and software development.
Ended my BT career as the IT Director for South East England in Canterbury.
In 1988 I joined Ernst & Young as a management consultant and then joined PA Consulting Group as a Senior Partner in their Manufacturing and Project management practices. At PA I spent 5 years as the Country Head of their German business based in Frankfurt.
In 2010 I left consulting to work as Chief Operating Officer for a Merchant Bank. In 2012 I set up my own consulting company delivering projects within Europe for clients in manufacturing and engineering.
I am married to Jenny, who is also a mathematician and we have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren.
