Rotary helps Canterbury Schoolgirl

A thirteen year old Canterbury schoolgirl suffers from a neuromuscular condition which has required multiple operations on her spine and feet.

Due to increasing disability she has needed to motorise her wheelchair recently and also has become unable to cope with the weight of her laptop.

The Rotary Club has made a grant of £653 to purchase a Microsoft Surface tablet computer which is half the weight of a normal laptop. Her mother reports that she is able to use the Microsoft Surface comfortably all day at school as shown in the photos.
