Aid for Turkey via our District 1120

Following a recent request from our Rotary District (1120), we made a small donation which will go towards a 40-tonne lorry containing warm clothes to help those in Turkey affected by the devastating earthquake earlier this year.

At the end of September we had a request from Raymond Seager, our District Governor, for each Rotary Club in the District to make a small donation to enable another lorry full of clothes to be sent out to Turkey (we have already donated money to help those in Turkey affected by the earthquake earlier this year, via ShelterBox as well as via our District). On this occasion the amount requested was just £50 from each club, which our International Committee was more than happy to send.
