We don’t do things for the thanks – but we do really appreciate it when we get them!

People join Rotary for all sorts of reasons – often because they want to contribute to the community or “give something back” to society. But that doesn’t mean a little appreciation isn’t welcome too!
Recently we received two lovely messages of thanks. One came from a young participant in our Innovation Competition, who was delighted to receive a book token for giving a presentation at the finals. The other was from the RNLI, thanking us for a £100 donation made at the request of the lifesaving team who support us during our annual fundraising duck race – a gesture given in lieu of payment.
