Canterbury Cathedral on World Polio Day

Lovely to see Canterbury Cathedral’s Corona lit up purple for the global #purple4polio campaign to raise awareness about polio.

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for over 30 years, and the goal of ridding the earth of this disease is in sight. It started in 1979 with vaccinations for 6 million children in the Philippines. Today, Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Pakistan are the only countries where polio remains endemic. https://www.endpolio.org/what-is-polio#Facts

Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, your contribution will be tripled, getting Rotary even closer to a polio-free world. https://www.endpolio.org/donate
