The Rotary Duck Race held at Westgate is a time when all parts of the local community can help raise funds for good causes while having lots of fun too. This year we’re pleased to say that two local jewellery shops – ‘Iconic’ (13, The Parade) and ‘Fitzgerald’ (26 Burgate) have kindly agreed to act as hubs for our duck ‘selling’.
There’s a £200 prize for the first duck to reach the finish on race day (17 September), a £100 second prize, and a £50 third prize. You can sponsor a (rubber) duck in the race for a mere £1 – don’t forget that all the funds raised go to local and international charities supported by the Rotary Club of Canterbury.
So why don’t you pop along to the shops and sponsor a duck?
Better still, sponsor a duck for each member of the family and have even more excitement if you come along on the day!
