Donation to British Heart Foundation

Thanks to the generosity of the community supporting our wishing well collection prior to Covid-19, we were delighted to be able to send a donation of over £500 to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

In total £1186.14 was collected from the wishing well, which was in place in Tesco Metro in Whitefriars, Canterbury. 50% of this went to the BHF and the other 50% will be distributed to local charities and causes which our Rotary Club helps to sponsor.

The wishing well has had to be removed for the time-being due to Covid-19. We hope in future to be using the wishing well again and will let readers know via our website and social media.

We are very grateful to the staff of Tesco for looking after the well these past few months and to community members who have generously “spun a coin” (or few).
