Duck Race 2017 – Save the Date!

We are pleased to announce that our annual duck race to be held on Sunday 17 September at 11am at Westgate, Canterbury, Kent (weather and conditions permitting). Hoping that all the family can join in – it’s a great atmosphere and fun for old and young alike. Locals can sponsor a duck beforehand to make the race EVEN MORE exciting! 

Individuals can sponsor ducks for £1 each (details of where below). The sponsor of the winning duck (first under the bridge) will get £200, the second place £100 and third place £50.

Companies can sponsor ducks for £25. The Corporate winner will win a case (6 bottles) of Champagne. Corporate sponsors can contact us via our webpage https://www.rotarycanterbury.org.uk/ or twitter @RotaryCantUK

Funds raised go to local and international Rotary charities. 

Come and SPONSOR a duck at Morrisons (Canterbury):
Monday 7/8/17 – 10am-4pm (end times TBD)
Friday 11/8/17 – 2pm-7pm (end times TBD)
Friday 15/9/17 – 2pm-7pm (end times TBD)

Come and SPONSOR a duck at Whitefriar’s Shopping Centre (Canterbury):
Saturday 26/8/17 – 10am-5pm (end times TBD)
Friday 8/9/17 – 10am-5pm (end times TBD)
Saturday 9/9/17 – 10am-5pm (end times TBD) 

Ducks will also be available for sponsorship on the day. But people will need to get there quick to avoid disappointment, as there are a limited number of ducks!

The race kicks off at around 11am. Finish times depend on conditions on the day.
