Poppy appeal 2019 – thanks again!

We’re really pleased to have once again received a letter of thanks from the local Royal British Legion’s local Poppy Appeal Organiser. Collectively, our members raised £2399.48. Many thanks to all who kindly gave a donation.

Monies raised from the appeal are used in the welfare support of serving and ex-service men and women and their families.

Our members have regularly supported the appeal, and this year some braved a fair bit of cold and miserable weather. Others helped out with supermarket collections. We’re happy to tell you that one of our members, PP Roger Clarke, raised the most (£446.18), though every contribution is valued. Roger raised the most last year as well!

We will of course be supporting this year’s Poppy Appeal later in the year.

If you want to help in other ways before then, please check their website
