For those that don’t know, Sailor Ted is an intrepid explorer who travels the seas or rivers with our Members when they go on holidays and trips around the world. In recent years he hasn’t done much of the travelling himself, but still tots up the total nautical miles travelled each year by others. Members are invited to guess the mileage for a fee, with the closest “guesser” receiving a prize. The remaining funds go to a good cause – this year to support Polio Plus.
