Local magazine Community Ad have been very supportive of our work over the years and we really appreciate the double page spread that they’ve given to The Point – helping raise awareness about it across their wide readership.
The Point is our lasting gift to the community that reflects our ongoing commitment to service, sustainability, and civic pride. The article touches on The Point’s environmental purpose, its artistic significance and the role it plays in enhancing Canterbury’s city centre. It also highlights our work in bringing the project to life and shares news of the unveiling by The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent and Lord Mayor of Canterbury.
This coverage helps extend the reach of The Point’s message: encouraging residents and visitors alike to reduce single-use plastic by refilling water bottles, while also engaging with a piece of public art that connects Canterbury’s heritage to its future.
In a future article we hope Community Ad will share news of how we got to The Point – something we’re sure will interest community members.
As this feature shows, relationships that community groups and service organisations have with local media can lead to – and celebrate – meaningful change.
