As regular readers will know, The Point – our “green” gift to Canterbury – is designed to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles and the considerable waste of resources they represent. We also hope The Point becomes a recognisable new landmark in the city, where people can both refill their water bottles and take a great photo!
We’re thrilled that The Point will be featured in the next MyCanterbury guide, on a map produced by Canterbury Business Improvement District (BID) highlighting key “Faces of Canterbury,” and also on Canterbury’s tourism website, Visit Canterbury. It’s fitting that The Point will be included as a place where everyone’s face can become part of the story!
Commenting on the significance of the guide, Lisa Carlson, CEO of Canterbury BID, said: “Our tourism website, Visit Canterbury, attracts visitors from across the globe to explore the heart of Canterbury, and our city guides reach visitors from across Kent. We’ve already shared pictures of The Point with our vast local network and it’s fantastic to be able to share information more widely about The Point’s environmental purpose and photogenic features”.
We’ll be sure to share more news once the guide is published!
