Our Club supports our District to help support Ukraine

Back in June our Club agreed to donate £500 of Club funds towards a collection from our District to help families made homeless in Ukraine.

The money will be used to provide modular homes for homeless families – each costing around £10,000 and able to accomodate a family of four. Our District has sent us a picture of the plaques that go on each home (see picture).

Our joint fundraiser for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) humanitarian relief appeal for Ukraine is still open if you would like to donate. Just click here

Picture: A plaque on the wall of one of the modular buidings – this one was supported by our District. Picture credit: Rotary District 1120. You can see a picture of the house that was built (no. 009) and learn about the new occupants in the facebook post here.
