Volunteers’ Week 2024: A hurray for volunteers!

Today is the first day of Volunteers’ Week – a great opportunity to thank all those wonderful volunteers out there doing great things.

Volunteering can be incredibly rewarding (as all Rotarians know). You get to do something for others, which is rewarding in itself. But there are lots of other positives too – you get to meet new friends, learn new things and gain new skills. Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes and have a wide range of opportunities – there is pretty much a volunteering opportunity for everyone! If you’ve not given volunteering much thought why not check out some of the great stories on the Volunteer’s Week site, here.

You might even want to volunteer by becoming a Rotarian. While helping others we also learn new things and build friendships and have fun. Our news page gives a good idea of what we get up to – and soon we’ll be telling you a little more about our year ahead. You can get in touch with us here.
