Wishing well helps raise over £1,000 in its first year!

Our ‘coin-spinning’ wishing well has just celebrated its first anniversary – and helped raise just over £1,000 for our local and international charities and causes.

In case you haven’t seen the wishing well (which is hard to miss thanks to its bright colour), it currently sits in Tesco Metro in Canterbury town centre – between the check out desks and the exit from the store. It’s great fun to slot your coins in and watch them spin down into the central core – youngsters love it! Spin a few and have a race – and follow the instructions on the well to ‘test your skill’! So next time you have some spare change (whether coppers or pound coins) have a go and have some fun – knowing that you’re helping us help others at the same time.

Sometime in the new year the well will move for a while to Sainsbury’s – so if you’re a local shopper there do check it out.
