We had a wonderful evening on Friday in the company of Rotarians and many friends – and had a chance to mark World Polio Day together.

Many wore a bit of purple*, we enjoyed a “slightly purplish” dinner (which included aubergine and beetroot, of course) cooked and served by Sue Thompson and her amazing team, in a hall they had decorated beautifully in a purple theme.
We raise a glass to all the Rotarians and partners who are working hard to try and eradicate polio from the world.
*Why purple? Because of the purple dye used to mark the fingers of children who had been immunised on immunisation days.
