Every September, the Canterbury Duck Race transforms the River Stour into a joyful ribbon of floating yellow — with over 4,000 ducks racing to the finish, cheered on by families, locals, and tourists alike. the 2025 event takes place on Sunday 21st September.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Canterbury, the Duck Race has raised thousands of pounds over the years for charities and community projects, both locally and internationally. From youth services and food banks in Kent to clean water, healthcare, and disaster relief through Rotary’s global network — every duck helps us do more good.
New for 2025: The Corporate Duck Race
This year, we’re launching a dedicated Corporate Duck Race — held just before the main event — to give businesses a fun and high-profile way to:
- Support great causes
- Raise their local visibility
- Show they care about community
Your ducks will take part in a special Corporate Heat, watched by a large local crowd and shared across social media. Only 200 corporate ducks are available, and just a limited number of Gold Packages remain.
