Calling Canterbury businesses – sponsor a Corporate Duck!

Sponsor a Corporate Duck and make a splash for your business whilst helping our local and international community.

A local tradition with global impact.

Sponsor a Corporate Duck and your business becomes part of one of Canterbury’s great local traditions.  Every September, the Canterbury Duck Race transforms the River Stour into a joyful ribbon of floating yellow – with over 4,000 ducks racing to the finish, cheered on by families, locals, and tourists alike. The 2025 event takes place on Sunday 21st September.

For more than twenty-five years, the Rotary Club of Canterbury has organised the annual Duck Race and raised thousands of pounds for charities and community projects, both locally and internationally. From youth services and food banks in and around Canterbury to clean water, healthcare, and disaster relief through Rotary’s global network – every duck helps us do more good.

New for 2025: A separate Corporate Duck Race

This year, we’re launching a dedicated Corporate Duck Race – held just before the main event – to give businesses a fun and high-profile way to:

  • Support great causes
  • Raise their local visibility
  • Show they care about community.

The Corporate Duck Race will be watched by a large local crowd and highlighted on our social media.

What’s in it for you?

Join the fun by sponsoring a Corporate Duck. This isn’t just a charitable act – it’s a smart move for your business and will make your brand more visible.

  • Your business will be listed in the race day booklet, reaching thousands of engaged followers.
  • In addition, Gold Sponsors will have:
    • a ¼-page advert in the booklet
    • entry into a raffle for two seats on the VIP punt in the procession
    • a certificate recognising your kind support
    • your sponsorship highlighted on Rotary Canterbury’s social media channels
    • a public thank you at the Corporate Race awards ceremony.
  • The winning Corporate Duck will win a prize of £500 which will be donated to the charity of your firm’s choice.

Positive publicity

  • Customers love to support businesses that give back. Your involvement is a great opportunity to showcase your community values and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in a fun and memorable way.
