First purple crocus - raising awareness of polio

We're delighted to have received the first picture this year of a Rotary crocus - raising awareness of polio. Some crocuses were planted in public gardens and grounds, so do keep an eye out for more as you go around the local area.

As you may know, out Members have  sold or donated crocuses in the past to help raise awareness of Rotary International's efforts to help eradicate this disease from the world.

The beauty of crocuses is that they pop up year after year and so give us a regular reminder of Rotary's work. This variety, Crocus tommasinianus (Ruby Giant), gives eye-catching, bright purple crocuses.

Please do send us your pictures if you have any in your garden or neighborhood!
